Industry Veteran Mohamed El Sheakh launches new MENA mobile company, Games Ventures

Video games industry veteran Mohamed El Sheakh has launched a new mobile focused company Games Ventures to help grow the MENA mobile games ecosystem.
Games Ventures will “build profitable mobile games from the Middle East for the Middle East and the world” with a team of talented individuals and strategic partnerships alongside local and global investments.
With over 20 years of experience, Mohamed has held leadership roles at Apple, including Head of App Store for the Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa. He’s also held roles at Microsoft and Nokia, including being an investor and advisor in multiple startups.
Contributing to the ecosystem
As part of Games Ventures’ initiative to support the MENA games industry, Mohamed has also released the company’s first ‘Middle East Mobile Games Ecosystem Report for August 2024.’
This report highlights the mobile game developers and publishers spearheading the region including VC firms, government initiatives and leading games media outlets covering the MENA games industry.
