Monument Valley 3 to launch exclusively on Netflix this December

- And – in a first for the series – guiding the hero in a boat with free-control sailing
Indie studio and Monument Valley series creator Ustwo Games will be releasing Monument Valley 3 exclusively on Netflix on Tuesday, December 10th 2024.
Before that, the developer will release all previous games to the streaming platform including Monument Valley and Monument Valley 2 on Thursday, September 19th 2024 and Tuesday October 29th 2024 respectively.
Monument Valley will be unveiled at Gamescom Opening Night Live later today. The third installment will see players guide a new hero, Noor, through new puzzles and landscapes that’ll require manipulating architecture to reveal hidden paths and solve challenges.
New game features
Monument Valley 3 promises a fresh experience with new art styles. Each chapter will introduce innovative mechanics and puzzles, including a first for the series: guiding the hero in a boat with free-control sailing.
The game’s visuals are inspired by global architecture and experimental art, creating an “enchanting and mysterious” world for players to explore.
Developer Ustwo Games say the upcoming game will serve as an ideal starting point for newcomers while providing new experiences for returning fans.
Netflix members can access the entire Monument Valley collection with no in-app purchases or ads from the aforementioned dates through the Netflix app on iOS and Android.
This third game in the series is the first to skip a full price, premium offering, going straight to Netflix’s game service. The previous two games both appeared as premium games before moving to Apple’s Arcade and now, as part of this new deal, to Netflix.

Ustwo first announced that Monument Valley is heading to Netflix as part of the first game’s 10th anniversary celebrations back on April 3rd 2024 and the game recently broke cover for a test run in Pakistan.
